Arlagene has been counselling for over seven years and has worked in various counselling settings such as The Salvation Army Community Centre counselling with people from all walks of life, The Hope of Survivors working with survivors of Clergy sexual abuse, Life line working with victims of flood and in community recovery, and also in her own private practice. Arlagene has worked in schools and she has also been a foster carer for over nine years and this has given her a wealth of experience in the issues that children and young people face in today’s society.

These experiences have given her a greater awareness of the different and complex issues that many people face and have to cope with every day and have provided her with a greater framework to develop her counselling skills.

Arlagene is a fully trained, accredited, insured and practising counsellor and undergoes regular ongoing professional supervision. She has a Bachelor of Social Science (Counselling) degree and is a Graduate Member of the Christian Counsellors Association of Australia, Association of Adventist Counsellors and PACFA. She is also currently studying for her masters in counselling.
